Welcome to the SCS Disaster Action Team Website
Marion County Shelter Locations posted here and updated when available.
The COMMUNITY CENTER is not a shelter. It will be locked during the height of the storm.
This site is dedicated to providing the residents of SCS disaster planning information:
- Pre-disaster planning
- Response during a disaster with available information
- Assistance after a disaster - use of Ok/Help signs.
-Sending out Alerts via Alert System
-Updating Websites Hurricane Prep Information as needed.
The back side of the community. Back gate towards 108th, to the left side down to cul de sac, this section of the community is on the same electrical grid as the Villages Hospital and during Hurricane Irma, we did not loose power in that area. I am telling you this as it's a place, once its safe to be out, to get a cup of coffee or charge a cell phone.
